DJ/MC
Muskoka Entertainment is an "event DJ" service. Successful event DJs (like Chris Jones) have a range of skills necessary to ensure that special events go smoothly and leave lasting memories: they understand pro audio and lighting equipment; they don't specialize in any one music genre (as club DJs often do), rather they are familiar with, and can beat mix and scratch to all types of music; they are adept at reading and playing for a crowd; and they maintain a professional standard and stylistic flair that the entertainment industry requires.
Sound Tech
Whether booking a DJ or looking for someone to handle sound for a band or speaking engagement, Muskoka Entertainment is able to provide an operate sound systems large or small. At an outdoor wedding ceremony, we use omni-directional wireless mics so guests in the back row hear vows as well as the officiant does. For a school dance, we provide sub-woofers that will shake the foundations. We operate sound systems to give depth and presence, and ensure instruments are balanced in the house mix in a way that reflects a live band's signature sound. For sporting events, we ensure broad sound coverage and precise intelligibility for announcers. Whether your event is outdoors or indoors, you can count on us to emphasize sound quality, sound coverage, style, and safety.
Karaoke
We take karaoke to a whole new level. Karaoke shows are hosted using digital DJ software, so karaoke and conventional recorded music can be seamlessly interwoven into an interactive and energetic karaoke-dance party. All karaoke shows include multiple mics for singers, lyrics screen, and sound monitors. Proper mixing of vocals with backing tracks, combined with stage and effect lighting gives a true rockstar experience.
Lighting Tech
Muskoka Entertainment is able to provide a variety of event-lighting services, including stage lighting for live bands, DMX-controlled light shows for dancing or themed events, and accent lighting (e.g. up-lights which are very popular for weddings).
